We are pleased to announce that the Annual Hannah Azizuddin Challenge Trophy 2008 will be held on Thursday, 1 May 2008, at the Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Resort located at Batu Gajah in Perak.
Background on the Annual Hannah Azizuddin Challenge Trophy
The trophy was jointly donated by Mr Timothy Hannah, a previous New Zealand High Commissioner based in Kuala Lumpur, and by Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Hj. Ahmad Azizuddin bin Hj. Zainal, a prominent Malaysian businessman, who is a graduate from the University of Otago.
The trophy is for a competition between 3 teams of golfers from The Malaysia New Zealand Business Council, The Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Resort, and from the combined New Zealand University Alumnis in Malaysia.
The event is a celebration of the strong ties between Malaysia and New Zealand and the very many enduring friendships that are the rock on which relations between the two countries have been built.
The Inaugural Hannah Azizuddin Challenge Trophy golf match was held on 1 May 1998.
The date for this Annual golf match is usually scheduled on the 1st of May, to coincide with the public holiday “Labour Day”.

Kindly note that as 1st of May falls on Thursday, you might want to consider taking your family for an extended weekend vacation from Thursday, through the weekend.
We would like to encourage as many alumni members as possible, to participate in the event.
