UC Chancellor visit to Malaysia 2015

Vice-Chancellor Dr Rod Carr invites you to a University of Canterbury alumni function in Malaysia. This will be a great opportunity to meet with University of Canterbury staff, and fellow alumni, while also hearing an update on UC from Dr Carr.

Buffet dinners will be provided at these events.

His Excellency John Subritzky, High Commissioner for New Zealand will be hosting the event at the New Zealand residence.

The UC has been nominated for the International Digital Humanities Awards for the "CEISMIC Canterbury Earthquake Digital Archive, which is a web resource, developed with NV interactive. The UC is seeking your support by voting for them at http://dhawards.org/dhawards2012/voting and select "CEISMIC Canterbury Earthquake Digital Archive" in the Best DH Project for public audiences category.

THE 3RD ALL NEW ZEALAND UNIVERSITIES ALUMNI NETWORKING DINNER

Dear UC Alumni and Friends,

Quite a number of you will recall that the 1st All New Zealand Universities Alumni Networking Dinner was held in 2005, with a large attendance at the Smokehouse Restaurant (in Ampang at that time) with some Alumni from all 8 universities attending.

The 2nd ANZUAND was held on 2009, at the New Zealand High Commissionerâs Residence, and again, it was great that there were Alumni from all 8 universities.

Subsequently, during discussions with various Alumni from all the universities, we received encouragement to coordinate the event annually, and we are pleased to inform you all that we are holding the 3rd ANZUAND on Saturday 10 December 2011.
